What Is My Style?

This free style quiz answers "What is my style?" in about two minutes. You pick from ten sets of everyday choices, like what you reach for on a Saturday and what you wear to dinner, and we match you to one of the 7 universal styles.

Your result names your main style and lists the key pieces, colors and outfit ideas to build around.

Ten quick questions about what you reach for, how you want to come across and the clothes that feel most like you. Each answer points toward one of the 7 universal styles, and the style with the most points is your result.

About 2 minutes 10 questions

Before you start

  • Answer for what you love to wear, not what your job or budget makes you wear.
  • Go with your first instinct. The pick that makes you smile is usually the right one.
  • If two answers fit, choose the one you would wear most often.

Your answers stay on this device. Nothing is saved or sent.

How this style quiz works

The 7 universal styles are Natural, Classic, Elegant, Romantic, Alluring, Creative and Dramatic. Each one describes a mood your clothes create, not a body type or a budget.

Every answer adds two points to one style. Some also add a bonus point to a close neighbour, such as Classic and Elegant. The style with the most points is your result, and if two tie, the one listed first wins.

Answer for the clothes you love, not the uniform your job asks for. Any fashion style quiz can only reflect what you tell it, so honest answers give the truest result.

How to build a wardrobe from your style quiz result

Start with what you own. Pull out the ten pieces you wear most and count how many match your result. Those pieces prove the result fits and show you what to buy more of.

Next, write one outfit formula for your style. Natural might be jeans, a chunky knit and boots. Elegant might be one color family in silk and fine wool. Shop to fill the gaps in that formula, not around it.

Then choose two or three neutrals and two accent colors. If you know your color season, take them from your season's palette, so your style and your coloring pull in the same direction.

Finally, use your second style for range. A Classic base with Creative accents looks very different from a Classic base with Alluring ones, and both can be exactly right.

If your result doesn't feel right

A quiz is a starting point, not a verdict. Your style can shift with your job, your city and your confidence.

If the result feels off, read the seven descriptions above and notice which one makes you nod. Then retake the quiz in a week, answering only for what makes you happy to get dressed.

Frequently asked questions

Most people do. Look at what you wear on ordinary days, not special occasions; that is your base style. The others become accents. Mixed answers often mean you sit between two neighbouring styles, such as Natural and Creative, and that blend is a style in itself.

They are Natural, Classic, Elegant, Romantic, Alluring, Creative and Dramatic. The idea groups clothing personalities by the impression they make, from relaxed and practical to bold and striking. Stylists use several versions of it, so names vary: Elegant is also called Sophisticated, and Alluring is also called Sensual or Sexy.

No. This quiz is about taste: what you like to wear and how you want to come across. A Kibbe body type quiz looks at your lines and proportions, and a color analysis quiz looks at your coloring. Together they tell you what to wear, which shapes to choose and which colors to pick.

Yes. Core preferences tend to stay fairly steady, but a new job, a move or a change in how you feel about yourself can shift which style leads. Retake the quiz every year or so, or whenever your closet stops feeling like you.

Shop your closet first. Sort what you own into love, fine and never worn, then compare the love pile with your result. Fill one gap at a time, and try secondhand or borrowed pieces before spending much on something new.
